OCTAGON EDGE PRO / MODEL INTELLIGENCE

The Quantum MMA Predictive Engine

The fight is
in the details.

Read the styles. Understand the pressure. Find your edge before the opening bell.

A record tells you what a fighter has done. A matchup asks what happens when that fighter meets this opponent, on this night. Quantum’s approach puts that collision at the center of the analysis.

THE QUESTION BEHIND EVERY PICK

What happens when
their strengths collide?

A heavy hitter can look unstoppable until the fight moves to the fence. A decorated wrestler can struggle when the takedowns stop coming. Five hard rounds can ask very different questions than three.

That is the thinking behind Quantum. Bring the fighter, the opponent and the conditions into focus together. Then give the fan something useful: an estimated winner, the factors shaping the matchup, and a clearer view of where the model and market disagree.

Go into fight night with a reason behind your read.

THREE DATA SOURCES / ONE RESEARCH WORKFLOW

The fight. The fighters. The market.

The data network brings together three complementary perspectives, connecting event information with fighter research and available bookmaker prices.

THE FIGHT

API-Sports

Fight schedules, card changes, bout status and results help keep the matchup connected to the event.

THE FIGHTERS

SportsDataIO

Fighter profiles and historical performance metrics contribute when verified production data is available. Identified scrambled trial responses are excluded.

THE MARKET

The Odds API

Bookmaker prices and implied probabilities give the analysis a market reference, so you can see where the estimates differ.

Coverage, refresh timing and available fields vary by provider and matchup.

TWO ENGINES. ONE COMBINED VERDICT.

Built around the matchup.

Quantum combines fighter research, statistical matchup analysis and available market context. Each prediction shows the result, supporting numbers and gaps in the available data.

01 / FORGE · FIGHTER PROFILE

Build each fighter’s profile.

FORGE evaluates available fighter ratings and career information. When a configured external prediction model returns a valid result, that estimate supplies this engine’s input.

02 / PULSE · STYLE MATCHUP

Bring the two styles together.

PULSE compares striking, takedown pressure and defensive statistics. Supported context is evaluated from both fighters’ perspectives so listing a fighter first does not create an advantage.

03 / THE JUDGE · COMBINED VERDICT

Turn the matchup into an estimate.

The final layer combines the fighter and matchup estimates with available market probabilities. Method estimates are tied to the final winner probabilities, giving you a consistent view of both sides.

The technical view

The active service uses a weighted statistical ensemble. Its local fighter-rating and style components use explicit formulas. A configured external inference service can supply a model estimate; invalid or unavailable responses fall back to the local calculation.

The current weights and probability shrinkage are heuristics, not proof of learned calibration. We must evaluate frozen pre-fight predictions on later outcomes before claiming an accuracy rate. Method and round projections are approximate and scored separately from winner picks.

A DEEPER WAY TO READ A FIGHT

Turn information into perspective.

Style is the starting point.

Volume matters differently against a counterstriker than a relentless wrestler. Matchup analysis asks where a fighter’s strengths meet an opponent’s vulnerabilities.

Context changes the picture.

Age, layoff, scheduled rounds, cage dimensions and supported short-notice information can affect the analysis. The available data determines how much detail a prediction can support.

A price is part of the story.

Being favored to win and being attractively priced are different questions. Model estimates, fair lines and market comparisons help you examine both.

ATTENTION TO THE INPUTS

Checks behind the scenes.

The prediction service checks data availability and rejects identified scrambled provider data. Each result exposes input coverage and relevant data-quality flags. A provider connection alone does not mean that every matchup has usable statistics.
