Natalia Silva Claims Vacant Flyweight Title at UFC 332

At UFC 332 in Salt Lake City, Natalia Silva defeated Wang Cong via unanimous decision with scores of 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46. This victory secured the vacant flyweight title for Silva, extending her undefeated UFC run to nine fights and her overall winning streak to 15.

Following the event, former champion Valentina Shevchenko congratulated Silva on social media but stated her intention to reclaim the championship upon returning from her shoulder and back injuries. Shevchenko had previously vacated the title to avoid stalling the division. Despite the former champion's message, Silva indicated during the post-fight press conference that she does not intend to wait for Shevchenko's return and plans to remain active in defending her new belt.
