Natalia Silva dismisses Valentina Shevchenko's comments regarding flyweight title

Following her victory over Wang Cong at UFC 332, Natalia Silva has asserted that the flyweight title belongs to her, not former champion Valentina Shevchenko. Silva's comments come after Shevchenko sent a message advising the new champion to 'keep the belt warm' while Shevchenko recovers from an injury that forced her to relinquish the title.

Silva criticized Shevchenko’s past activity, noting that the former champion often fought only once per year. The Brazilian fighter stated that she prefers a more frequent competition schedule and does not feel obligated to wait for Shevchenko's return. Silva emphasized that her focus is now on defending the championship against whoever is next in the rankings, including top contender Alexa Grasso.
