Marcus McGhee to face promotional newcomer Anthony Romero at UFC 332

UFC 332, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, has undergone a change to its preliminary card. No. 15-ranked bantamweight Marcus McGhee was originally slated to face Bernardo Sopaj, but Sopaj has withdrawn from the matchup.

Promotional newcomer Anthony Romero will now step in on three days' notice to face McGhee. McGhee (11-2) enters the contest following a unanimous decision victory over John Yannis at UFC Vegas 118. He currently holds a 5-1 record inside the Octagon.

Romero (7-2) arrives at the promotion riding a two-fight winning streak, most recently recording a 25-second knockout of Yuma Horiuchi. The 26-year-old, who trains at Black House MMA, possesses a finishing rate of 86 percent, including four knockouts and two submissions.
