Deiveson Figueiredo Expresses Interest in Return to Flyweight Division

Former two-time UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is set to face Payton Talbott in the co-main event of UFC 332, taking place this Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Despite his current participation in the bantamweight division, Figueiredo revealed during media day that he has informed the promotion of his desire to drop back down to flyweight.

Figueiredo stated he is confident in his ability to make the 125-pound weight limit and is seeking a championship opportunity against current titleholder Joshua Van. The Brazilian fighter emphasized his intent to compete for a third flyweight title, provided the organization approves the move. Figueiredo remains focused on his immediate opponent, Payton Talbott, before any official plans for a weight class transition can be solidified.
