Seiya Inoue Wins by KO, Dedicates Victory to Cancer-Battling Father

Seiya Inoue defeated Ryusei Ashizawa via knockout at 4:56 of the first round during RIZIN LANDMARK 16 in Nagasaki. The fight featured a chaotic exchange of strikes from both competitors.

Ashizawa initiated exchanges with knees and punches, while Inoue countered with combinations. After an initial knockdown by Inoue, Ashizawa recovered and managed to drop Inoue briefly. The bout was described as "absolutely wild" and a potential "Round of the year contender" by observers.

Inoue landed a decisive counter left hook that sent Ashizawa to the canvas, followed by ground strikes that ended the contest. This win marks Inoue's second consecutive victory under the RIZIN banner.

Post-fight, Inoue expressed gratitude for the support and acknowledged the damage he sustained. He also shared a personal message for his father, who recently underwent emergency cancer surgery and was present at the event, urging him to "keep fighting together."
