Sean O’Malley Responds to Payton Talbott’s Callout and Ducking Accusations

Following Payton Talbott’s knockout victory over Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 332, Talbott used his post-fight interview to call out Sean O’Malley. Talbott also alleged that a fight between the two was previously offered for UFC White House in June. O’Malley denied ever receiving such an offer, suggesting Talbott fabricated the claim.

O’Malley noted his focus remains on the upcoming UFC 333 bantamweight title fight between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili. He stated that if Yan wins, he would prefer a rematch against him. However, O’Malley indicated that if Dvalishvili wins, he would be interested in facing Talbott. O’Malley praised Talbott’s style and acknowledged the promotional benefit of being called out by rising contenders.
