Newly Released Footage Shows Ilia Topuria Struggling with Vision During UFC Freedom 250

The UFC recently released uncensored corner-cam footage from the June 14 UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House. During the broadcast, Ilia Topuria informed his corner, including brother Alexandre, that he was unable to see following the third round. This admission prompted a ringside physician to assess the fighter's condition.

Referee Mark Goddard intervened when the doctor moved to wave off the fight. Goddard explicitly instructed Topuria to continue, stating, "I'm happy to let this go." The fight proceeded after the referee's assessment.

Justin Gaethje secured the undisputed lightweight championship in the bout. While Topuria has returned to training with plans for a 2027 comeback, Gaethje remains undecided on his future. A potential title defense against Arman Tsarukyan has been suggested should the champion choose to return to the Octagon.
