Petr Yan Expresses Willingness to Face Umar Nurmagomedov

Petr Yan stated he remains open to facing any deserving opponent, including Umar Nurmagomedov. Yan emphasized that his approach to his career involves taking on the toughest challenges available once they have proven their position in the rankings.

Umar Nurmagomedov recently suffered a knockout loss to Song Yadong at UFC Shanghai. Following that defeat, he expressed an intention to transition away from wrestling and focus exclusively on striking in future contests.

Yan suggested that Nurmagomedov could rectify the technical flaws displayed in his recent loss through training with his coaching staff. Yan noted that the ability to address mistakes and continue moving forward is an essential trait for any fighter aiming for championship status.
