Waldo Cortes-Acosta Focuses on Johnny Walker, Eyes Future Clash with Josh Hokit

Waldo Cortes-Acosta is scheduled to headline UFC Vegas 124 this Saturday against Johnny Walker. The matchup was organized on one week's notice following the withdrawal of Sean Brady from his original headliner against Gabriel Bonfim. Cortes-Acosta expressed a desire to remain active, aiming to compete again on December 12 at UFC 335 if he is successful this weekend.

While Cortes-Acosta acknowledges that Josh Hokit has contributed to momentum in the heavyweight division, he stated that he is not a fan of the contender. Hokit is currently scheduled to face Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title at UFC 334 on November 14. Cortes-Acosta noted that he would like the opportunity to fight Hokit in the future, citing his disapproval of Hokit's approach to trash talk.
