Austin Bashi Secures First-Round Submission Win at UFC Vegas 124

At UFC Vegas 124 on November 7, Austin Bashi defeated Carlos Calderon via submission at the 1:07 mark of the first round. Calderon, the Fury FC featherweight champion, stepped in on four days' notice to replace Lucas Brennan, who withdrew from the contest after sustaining an ACL tear.

The victory moves Bashi to a professional record of 15-2, with eight of his wins coming by way of submission. The 25-year-old Michigan native previously suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jose Delgado in July and now holds a 2-2 record inside the UFC.
