Raoni Barcelos was released from the hospital on Tuesday, three days after losing consciousness during the fifth round of his main event bout against Raul Rosas Jr. at UFC Vegas 121. The 39-year-old fighter confirmed his discharge by sharing a photograph with his family on social media.

While Barcelos has stated he is doing well, both he and the UFC have not confirmed the medical cause for the incident. Head coach Davi Ramos previously noted that while the fighter did not suffer a stroke or a heart attack, the specific reason for the medical emergency remains unknown as evaluations continue.

Prior to his release, Barcelos recorded a video from his hospital bed thanking fans for their support. He expressed a desire to return to competition in the future and acknowledged the protocol required for his medical clearance.
