Edson Barboza Set for ACBJJ Return

The 40-year-old veteran is scheduled to face fellow UFC alum Rashid Magomedov in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Barboza announced his retirement from MMA in August following a TKO loss to Esteban Ribovics, which marked his fourth consecutive defeat inside the octagon.

The upcoming bout will be contested under ACBJJ battle match rules, which permit strikes with hands, legs, elbows, knees, and head while on the feet or the ground. Strikes above the collarbone are strictly prohibited under these regulations.

The event card also features notable veterans, including a main event showdown between Andre Galvao and Rousimar Palhares, as well as a no-gi grappling match between Rodolfo Vieira and Kelvin Gastelum.
