Patchy Mix Released by RIZIN Following Winless Stint

Patchy Mix has reportedly been released by RIZIN and had his contract terminated. The 33-year-old fighter, who previously held the Bellator bantamweight title, struggled to regain momentum after back-to-back losses in the UFC led to his release from that promotion in 2025.

Mix joined RIZIN looking for a fresh start but suffered a knockout loss to Kyoma Akimoto in his promotional debut. In his subsequent outing against Shoko Sato, Mix missed the bantamweight weight limit by 6.3 pounds, leading to a two-point deduction. He lost that fight by unanimous decision and has now dropped four consecutive bouts across his time in the UFC and RIZIN.
